Blockchain Technology and its Applications
Workshop Description : This workshop is designed to cover the how block chain technology innovates. And provides the various enterprise models and applications. And also learn about how maintain the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of a data. Understand various protocols for network security to protect against the threats in the networks. The purpose of this workshop to provide basic model of block chain.
Duration : 8 hours, (4 sessions with parallel hands on session)
Targeted Audience : B.Tech/BSC/MCA/MBA Students
Objective: The objective of this course is to provide conceptual understanding of how block chain technology can be used to innovate and improve business processes. The course covers the technological underpinning of block Chain operations in both theoretical and practical implementation of solutions using block Chain technology.
Topics to be covered : The talk much talked about crypto currency, Bitcoin, owes its origin to this technology. It is maintained by a network of miners, also called nodes, on the network of computers designed to solve complex mathematical problems to make a transaction go through.
Hands on session : This hands on session parallel with theoretical sessions to develop blockchain Technology framework to build Java Script run time programming on user-friendly open source software Node.js used in the object oriented programming used in prototyping, Creation of node, creation of blockchain, pending transaction.
Outcome : Blockchain is one of the highly disruptive technologies of this century that promises direct value exchange over the internet and decentralized technology or distributed ledger on which transactions are anonymously recorded and operated on a consensus model for validation.
Session 1 : Basic Crypto primitives, properties of hash function, hash table, ECDSA, Distributed file system, Digital Signature, Public key cryptography, zero knowledge proof.
Session 2 : Hash functions, hash pointer, markle tree, Basic crypto currency, double spending, P2P network, Markle tree, chain policy, Private and Public block chain, Mining Mechanism.
Session 3 : Understand blockchain with crypto currency and blockchain for enterprises, PoW, PoS, Consensus, Smart contract, KYC, Supply Chain Financing
Session 4 : Blockchain applications development, writing smart contract using hyper ledger and smart contract using Ethereum, overview of Ripple and Corda.

About Resource Person: Dr.Basetty Mallikarjuna is currently in School of Computing Science & Engineering, Galgotias University, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh-201 310, India. He has more than 11 years of teaching experience in Computer Science and Engineering at University level. He had worked as Assistant Professor at GITAM University Hyderabad campus, Rudraram village, Patancheru Mandal, Telangana – 502 329, India and as an Assistant Professor in NBKRIST Vidyanagar, Vakadu, Andhra Pradesh-524 413, India.
